RedBox TV is a FREE live streaming App where you can watch your favorite TV channels anytime. It has 1000+ live channels from 15 different countries. The app is an .apk file so it can be downloaded and used separate from your Kodi player. You can install it on many devices, such as Android TV Boxes, Amazon Fire Sticks and TV, NVidia, PCs, Cell Phones and Tablets.
I have been using this one for a couple of months on my ANDROID TV BOX and so far it's been working very well. Like all free Live Streaming Apps, sometimes a channel will freeze or not work, but most of the time they work with no problems and the picture quality is very good. A high speed Internet connection is required, as well as a very good Wi-Fi router.
The interface is clear and easy to navigate. There are tabs at the top of each section such as FAVORITES, SPORTS, SCIENCE, KIDS, and each country. My English speaking followers will probably be more interested in the U.S.A. and U.K. channels, but it is easy to keep track of your favorites.
Simply hold down the select button over your most watched channels and you can add them to the FAVORITES tab, which is conveniently located at the far left of the HOME screen. That will keep everything nice and organized so you won't have to scroll through hundreds of channels to get to your favorite show.
If you would like to install REDBOX TV on your device, you can follow these instructions. As I specialize in Android TV Boxes, the instructions are specific to them only, but the install process should be similar on most devices.
1. On the HOME screen, find and open your INTERNET BROWSER. Use the one you're comfortable with, I prefer CHROME. I also suggest getting a Mini Wireless Keyboard if you don't have one, especially if you are going to be surfing the web and installing apps. The backlit kind are great.
3. Put this URL in your browser, https://www.redboxtv.net Depending on your device, you might can copy and paste. That will take you to the REDBOX TV website, click on DOWNLOAD.
4. Go back to the HOME screen, click on FILE BROWSER, click on LOCAL DISC, then DOWNLOADS, and there you should see the new REDBOX TV APK. Click to install. Answer yes for any permissions and enjoy!
Another great LIVE TV STREAMING APP is MOBDRO. If you are not familiar with MOBDRO, it is a great application for streaming your favorite Movies, TV series, News, Sports and many others. Not only this but with this Mobdro app you can also access some of your favorite songs and videos whenever you want to watch or hear them.
MOBDRO requires high speed internet, as well as a good Wi-Fi connection. You can install it on many devices, such as Android TV Boxes, Amazon Fire Sticks and TV, NVidia, PCs, Cell Phones and Tablets.
MOBDRO has a pretty simple interface. There are tabs with CHANNELS, NEWS, SHOWS, MOVIES, SPORTS, PODCASTS and many more. There are a couple of Adult channels that can be hidden from view using parental controls. You can also save your most watched channels to favorites for easy access.
As with all free Live TV Apps, expect some glitches here and there, but over all MOBDRO is my favorite Live TV app, offering more channels and options than most. Of course, it's good to have several apps to choose from in case one goes down or has technical problems.
In my last post I discussed most of the MOBDRO installation process, but I will include it here again for your convenience.
